The city of Segovia cuts a sharp silhouette against the terse blue of the Castilian sky, creating an image which as long ago as the 16th century struck onlookers as a ship of stone waiting for the waters of the two rivers Eresma and Clamores to rise sufficiently for it to set off across the Castilian plateau. Segovia is a city to be visited at leisure and which merits frequent return visits. Its artistic and architectural wealth, the ethereal quality of light that illuminates the lush greenery of the Eresma valley, are just some of the reasons it was declared a world heritage site in 1985 by UNESCO.

In Segovia, the beautiful old houses, Arabic facades, palaces and churches, turrets and trees all add their own brand of character and elegance. The old city centre is a maze of medieval squares from which visitors can marvel at views of surrounding mountains. Whatever time of year you visit Segovia, the surrounding countryside delights with its changing hues. In short, Segovia is a city well worth visiting and a marvelous place to run a team building event.
